Preparing your files for output
Adobe InDesign - When sending InDesign files, please Package file for output. To do this, go to File/Package, make sure Copy Fonts and Copy Linked Graphics is selected. Send the entire packaged folder to us. If any fonts will not allow you to package, please outline the fonts. To outline fonts, simply select the text box that is to be outlined and go to Type/Create Outlines.
Adobe Photoshop - Resolution should be 300 pixels per inch at the size you want to print. For color, please use CMYK color mode and not RGB. Always save as a TIF or EPS and avoid JPG or GIF. Do not compress images. Provide us with the layered file whenever possible.
Adobe Illustrator - Use CMYK Color Mode. Outline all fonts, and save as an EPS. Provide all placed graphics (known as links) and do not embed. To outline fonts, select all the textboxes and go to Type/Create Outlines. Grouped artwork will not outline, make sure to ungroup artwork first. To check that your text has been outlined go to Type/Find Font, if any fonts are listed in this area your artwork is not outlined. You may want to provide the outlined file and the original with live type, in case changes are requested.
Quark Xpress - Collect for Ouput. To do this, go to File/Collect for Output, and make sure all items are checked. Provide the entire collected folder to us.
